A highly disturbing Guardian report this weekend on female circumcision (British resource here) and it’s possible proliferation in Britain caused me to recall the work of Southall Black Sisters whose work I was aware of and admired in my early twenties living in London.

I caught up reading about their ongoing work on their website and noticed they have a campaign song and have published their own books in addition to their vital advocacy work. Brava.
