Here is one of the most unique and rewarding forays I have undertaken with Malarky. Thank you to David John Gutowski<\/a> @ Largehearted Boy for inviting me to participate in his excellent cross-disciplinary Book Notes series:<\/p>\n

In the Book Notes<\/a> series, authors create and discuss a music playlist that relates in some way to their recently published book.<\/em><\/p>\n

Previous contributors include Bret Easton Ellis<\/a>, Kate Christensen<\/a>, Kevin Brockmeier<\/a>, George Pelecanos<\/a>, Dana Spiotta<\/a>, Amy Bloom<\/a>, David Peace<\/a>, Myla Goldberg<\/a>, Heidi Julavits<\/a>, Hari Kunzru<\/a>, and many others.<\/p>\n

Anakana Schofield’s Malarky<\/a> is a brilliant debut novel that depicts one woman’s descent into madness with dark humor and an intimate eye for grief and sorrow.<\/p>\n

The Montreal Gazette<\/a> wrote of the book:<\/p>\n
